Everyone makes mistakes. It's human nature to do so. As long as you can pick yourself back up and carry on, you will be ok. If you can't, try. Because trying is just as good as doing.

You are what humanity has been leading up to so far. You are what scholars had wondered and dreamed about so many years ago. You are the best of the best genes so far in history. You are important.

Life isn't a race. When you think of life, how do you see it? Childhood, school, more school, job, marriage, work, sometimes with children, and then a break when you are too old to fully enjoy what you used to love to do. Society seems stuck in that schedule, unable to see past it. Wanting to get to the next stage as quickly as possible. Take a breath. And slow down. Enjoy life. See beyond what is scheduled, the small patches of beauty along the way. Make the most of it.

Remember to stop and smell the roses. If Life tries to drag you away, tug them back and give it a rose. Maybe it needs one too.

Pain is relative. Things that glance off one person's back can kill another. Be careful with what you say and what you think of others when you pin them as whiney. Or if you think "It's not as bad as what I am going through". Because it may not be, but mentally you may be at the same point for your situations.

I looked for one, but there is no website made for users to submit story ideas or prompts for writing. Sure, you see them scattered elsewhere, but in one place where you can get prompts that aren't boring like on teaching websites would be nice. And for people like me, who want to get their ideas out, aren't sure what to do with them, so they let others take the idea willingly.

I think Hollywood does not know what makes a movie good. There are a few good directors, whose actors and staff care about the creation but most are money grabbing. Dependent on prexisting franchises to make their movie popular, not putting work into it, full well knowing that it doesn't matter if it's bad or not, people will come to see it because of what's portrayed in it.

In my opinion, most of the best movies are where the actors at some point or another, had... read more

If you place an uncommon word in your speech or speak as though you are a century behind the rest, most people will pin you as intelligent in a conversation. When in fact, you are of average intelligence.

Good morning people of Muttr! As I am well aware that every person here is experiencing different weather outside, so I can't say "Isn't it nice and sunny today?", there is still a certain beauty in every type of weather. Gray cloudy skies, that block out the sun and leave the earth cold have a certain comfort, as if the clouds are attempting to snuggle the cold away from you and try so hard to do so. Any snow is wonderful, watching the delicate flakes fall Down from too far ... read more

If you are going to use random capitalized letters in a sentence, try to form a word with it. Confuse your reader with something profound or very very.. very stupid.

Someone told me to stop referring to women as females. I am a female, and like the scientific way it sounds. And I am sure that anyone going through gender stuff and they want to be a female and look like a female would appreciate being called a female. Women are females. I'm not at all bothered by this, just ultimately confused why it bothered them.

Al Roker: -on the Thanksgiving Parade- So what's your horse's name?
Policeman: Einstein.
Al: So he's the smartest horse?
Policeman: No. They just have the same hair.

Me: Feels like when people compare my family to me.

But really, that made me laugh so much!

If you feel sad, go outside. Bring your jacket and your mittens if you need them if the air is chilly. Go and stand in grass, with the sun shining down at you. Feel the warmth on your face and turn around to feel it on your back. Close your eyes to hear the sound of leaves rustling and far off sounds of those busy with their day. Enjoy the breeze that whips through your hair. Feel the spongy soft earth beneath your feet. Not only is this therapeutic in being a calming activit... read more

The phrase "filled the hole in my heart" sounds rather incomplete. Why not add what it was filled with to convey better emotion? Like cotton, cement, unlit dynamite. A wasp hive. Easy Cheese. You name it.
