I'm the OG poster. I have a job. My parents won't let me own either, even though I could really afford both. I want the pupper much, MUCH more than the tattoo, that was more of a I'd-take-it-if-I-got-it, y'know?

    Yes and no.
If you feel like you've never really been a burder/problem, then you'd better make sure you voice that.
There is absolutely no reason to just sit back and blame yourself, or just "accept" things as they are. Thats bulls***.
I know this situation all too well. It's not fair, at all. If you feel that you're responsible enough for a pet, then fight on!
If you know it won't be a burden for anyone else, fight on!
If you've been wronged, fight on!

    Fight on!

Also, be sure to nab a job and stuff.
As for the tattoo.. er, fight on?
If you really want it you'll probably have to wait until you're old enough to sign for it and pay for it yourself. Cause if you don't like it, then that's money wasted.

Seriously tho, you should try to get a job.

You probably need to stand on your own feet buy the things you need and want before you take on the responsibility of being a parent (animal). You are only now beginning to stand on your own two feet and as for my kids, I refused to pay for a tattoo. If they are old enough to enter in to a contract they can make the decision to buy their own tattoo and if they end up hating it they can pay to have it removed. So they paid for their own tattoo themselves.
