People fell for the fallacy that all opinions are equal and valid.

And that is the death of critical thought in politics.

Combine that with the already normally apathetic attitude of most people towards politics (and 'disenfranchisement') this allowed for the normalization of extremist views, under the guise of being perversely "edgy" and counter culture. #transgender #nambla
